San Francisco Actor Irving Israel (aka Mark Anger) 1930-2014, was a stage and screen actor living in San Francisco. His career included The Actor's Workshop with Julius Irving, and Berkeley Repertory Theater.Screen work (as Mark Anger) included episodes of The Streets of San Francisco and the part of Mr. Kroot in American Graffiti. His own The Venture Theatre, produced his one man show portraying Thomas Paine. In the process, based on the introduction he penned for this book, he appears to have become fairly besotted with his subject.
