A photograph of the crew of the Memphis Belle posed with their plane during a war bond tour in 1943 Signed by Major Robert "Bob" Morgan. The photograph is framed with a matte containing the history of the Memphis Belle, her crew, and details of the historic missions flown during World War II. The commemorative matte was commissioned by the Morgan Manufacturing Company, Inc. of Ashville, North Carolina, the company owned and operated by Major Morgan's father, later operated by Robert K. Morgan and his brother. The plane and her crew made history by being one of the first B-17 bombers to complete 25 bombing missions and became national heroes.
