Introduced by Peter Heath, and with in-text black and white drawings throughout by Peter Dixon. Cloth, 8vo, xiv, 95 pp. A facsimile reprint of the catalogue of the auction sale of Carroll's library, and of three booksellers' catalogues of 1898 offering items acquired at that sale. Lewis Carroll's library was unusually large : perhaps 3000 volumes. On his death the library was disposed of hastily and clumsily. This book reconstructs the contents of the library with facsimiles of the auction catalogue of Carroll's effects, and the catalogues of C.J. Parker (1898), the Blackwell's Catalogue (1898) and Arts and Antiques Agency Catalogue (1898). Very Good save for small (1mm) puncture mark on front board (not penetrating board).
