First and limited edition (72/105). Hardback. 53pp. Designed and printed by Eric Gee, assisted by David Vickers with a cover illustration by Colin Paynton. Set in 13pt Monotype Walbaum, machine set, put through the stick, and printed on Zerkall mould-made paper. Loosely inserted Gwasg Gregynog compliments slip. Tipped-in reproduction photographs of Margaret Sidney Davies (1884 - 1963) and Gwendoline Elizabeth Davies (1882 - 1951). The centenary years of the birth of these two former owners of Gregynog provided the occasion for this monograph on the house and the two sisters. It is written by Eirene White (former Member of Parliament for East Flintshire) and a regular visitor to Gregynog since first going there as a child in the summer of 1920. The author has known personally most of those who have lived and worked there, as well as many of the notabilities who visited the house in the 1920s and 1930s. Eirene White (Lady White) was uniquely qualified to contribute this short study of how Gregynog developed over more than sixty years. Book in near fine condition with just a slight degree of soiling to the boards. Book.
