Brown cloth, blind-stamp devices on front board and the spine, gilt for the spine titles only. Firm binding, but front cover has some white marks from either paint or correction fluid, which don't come off (we tried). Small break at top front gutter, and worn at both head and tail-bands, though they are still present. Book block is firm and the engraved prelims are present and pleasant, though they 'ghosted' onto the title page. As-is antiquarian book, the Peoples American Edition, and carries no date of issue, but is ca. 1860s. n.d., 1860
