"Printed and published by Mike O'Connor at his Four Peaks Press in Fountain Hills, Arizona . The text was handset in Caslon and printed one page at a time on and 8 x 12 Golding Official using Rives lightweight. Initial letters are Caslon Initials printed from engravings. The frontispiece is a wood engraving (printed from the block) by W. Gale Mueller. Bound in red-brown cloth with gold stamping on spine; endpapers of Japanese paper; printed cover label with title rendered: The joy of hand setting type. The author began a six-part series in 1983 in Type & Press. He built his first shop in 1965 using an 8 x 12 Gordon Press later he moved to a 12 x 18 Little Giant. The book is dedicated: to my wife Betty, whose assistance and support over the years made it possible. Bound in brown cloth spine lettering gilt, paper label lettered in black to front cover. A fine copy.
