1st ed. thus hardback with dust jacket As New octavo 185pp., Australian Classics series.
First (Australian) edition, in the same format as the Aurum first UK edition. Both were printed in Italy. Hardcover. Oblong quarto. Fine in fine dustjacket with a couple tiny professionally closed tears. In unusually fine condition for this large easily bumped volume. A photographic essay, with a preface and stunning photographs contributed by Frank Horvat, whose reputation in France is comparable to that of Robert Capa and Henri Cartier-Bresson. The text by Fowles has many reminiscenses of his childhood and family life. This heavy book will cost more to send overseas, than any default postage rate noted.
