The interior is nearly pristine: except for an owner's name, date and city inked on the half title page, it is clean and unmarked; no page corners folded or damaged; pages are tight and clean with no writing, stains, or marks of any sort; no staining or discoloration; hinges are tight and undamaged; no distortion of the book from reading or improper shelving. Jacket is reasonably clean and without fading or chips; two 1-1/4" tears at bottom of front panel, one tear causing a slight loss of color in the author's name; slight wear at head and heel of spine as well as a 1/4" strip of slight darkening along both edges; publisher's original price of ">$18.95" listed on the upper corner of the front flap; front flap has several long folds. Condition of this book and jacket consistent with being gently read. No other discernible or objectionable faults on book or jacket such as marks or writing within, stains, tears, chips, or other damage that would diminish its appearance. No remainder mark, no inscriptions, not price clipped, not a book club edition, not a former library book.
