Softcover. Condition: vg. 8vo. xxxix, 198pp. Illustrated wrappers. Collection of short stories by renowned Egyptian writer Yusuf Idris (1927 - 1991), who is considered a master of the short story. His stories were often very realistic and dealt with ordinary and poor people. [The only Egyptian to ever win the Nobel Prize of Literature was Nagib Mahfouz, a contemporary of Idris] Very minor age wear. Overall, clean and tight. In English, translated by a variety of translators from Arabic. Very good condition.
