Also laid in are 5 sheets of publicity materials.The poster is (15 x 22 inches), matches the illustration on the portfolio, an old print of the Salt River Valley. The portfolio (the folding box) is Very Good, just a little shelfwear. The booklets and poster are absolutely Fine. Articles include: "Panorama: Phoenix, Arizona" by Goldie Weisberg, "The West: a Plundered Province" by Bernard DeVoto, and essays by Carter and Johnson on Western literature. One of the booklets contains program ideas for public libraries. "The materials in this portfolio were produced by the editorial staff of the Arizona Historical Society and the project staff of "Writers of the Purple Sage: Origins of a National Myth," a project sponsored by the Tucson Public Library."
