Soft cover. Condition: Fine. Link, O. Winston ( black and white photography ) (illustrator). 1st Edition. Originally self published 26 years earlier, this booklet was published by the Photographer's Gallery in 1983 to accompany a two month exhibition of Link's photographs in London and Scotland. The first printing of the exhibition catalog, bound in glossy black wrappers with Link photo to front cover ( back panel just black. ) Published in conjunction with the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and the National Railway Museum. Rupert Martin provides an introduction and editing to the volume. Link's railway photos had an immense capacity to tie the final years of the steam locomotive to the world it was passing through - while saying farewell. They are, as a result, some of the most poignant rail photos to be taken; there impact is difficult to over state. This is a lovely ( fine ) copy in the glossy black wrappers, signed and dated by O. Winston Link. The wrappers are flawless. Signed by Author(s).
