Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Stubley, Trevor (illustrator). First Edition First Printing. Written in 1941 but not published due to paper shortages & the book's strong antiwar sentiments, unpopular during WWII, this book represents White's intended conclusion to "The Once and Future King'' (1958), revealing what befell King Arthur, Guenever, Sir Lancelot, & the wizard Merlyn. Discovered in the archives at the University of Texas, this is its first time in print, & this is a FIRST EDITION, but Second Printing from the original year (1977). A Prologue by White's major biographer Sylvia Townsend Warner explains the book's history. In 137 pages, with pen-and-ink drawings throughout text by Trevor Stubley.
