Book
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Photography by Karl Weidmann (illustrator). In Spanish. Stated 'Quinta Edition, julio de 1990.' Both the book and the dust jacket are in excellent condition. You can see the covers of the book in the last few photos. They are exceptionally clean. They have very little wear, a half-dozen or so tiny bumps on the front cover near to its middle edge, nothing much of anything. The cover edges are in excellent shape. The cover corners are in excellent shape. No rubbing on either. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The pages are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. I'm not seeing any creasing anywhere in the text, no placeholder creases. The front end paper and copyright page which follows it both have a thin vertical crease. The crease does not touch the print on the copyright page. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. The photographs are quite striking, many are spectacular. It's clearly a beautiful region. The dust jacket is in excellent condition as well. It is also very clean. You can see it in the first few photos. I've always had it in a fitted protective cover. When I take the photos it will probably be difficult to avoid glare created by the light against the plastic of the protective cover. So keep that in mind when looking at the photos. As I look at the jacket, I can tell you that I do not see any tears and I don't see any conspicuous wear. The large white flaps are also very clean. There's some crinkling off the front flap's top edge. There are no tears on the flaps. No clips. There's also no print or price. There is a small map of on the front flap which gives you the shape and borders of Venezuela without referencing any names, except the country's. 'La Gran Sabana is a region in southeastern Venezuela, part of the Guianan savanna ecoregion. The savanna spreads into the regions of the Guiana Highlands and south-east into Bolívar State, extending further to the borders with Brazil and Guyana.'.
