Not price clipped (40s), no other inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 270pp, illustrated. A series of essays on doctors and treatments by the appropriately named neurologist Walter Russell Brain, 1st Baron Brain (1895-1966). This book was evidently given to the recipient just days before Brain died on December 29th 1966. Lord Brain was principal author of the standard work of neurology 'Brain's Diseases of the Nervous System' and longtime editor of the homonymous neurological medical journal titled 'Brain'. He is also described 'Brain's reflex a reaction noticed when humans try and walk on all fours. Scarce signed. Signed by Author(s).
