At the core of this collection is the collection of Otto and Gustav Kröner, opticians from Munich, 'who for decades dedicated their expertise and enthusiasm to the collection. The Museum is complemented by the collections of Zeiss, Zeiss-Ikon and Voigtlander, as well as the collection of the Viennese court optician, Waldstein. The most beautiful examples of these collections are illustrated in this Atlas. . The main part of the Museum for optical instruments at Oberkochen is a collection of spectacles.
