Hard covers published by Historical Branch, G-3 Division, USMC (with the exception of Volume 1, which is a reprint and was published by Battery Press in 1993). Red covers with gilt seal on front covers and gilt lettering and dark blue background on spines. Vol. 1: Pearl Harbor to Guadalcanal, 1993, in VG condition. Volumes 2-5: corners are bumped, edges of pages have some staining, and covers and spines have some scuffing and staining. Spines are loose from bindings. Some pages and edges of pages have stamps from the previous owner, and they have a bookplate from the previous owner on the verso of front endpaper. They each (Vol 2-5) have maps attached to inside back cover. All are in G condition. Vol. 2: Isolation of Rabaul, 1963, spine is slightly creased, side edges of pages have a government stamp. Vol. 3: Central Pacific Drive, 1966, bottom of pages has a stamp from government. Front endpaper has some distribution charts and a name blacked out. Vol. 4: Western Pacific Operations, 1971. Vol. 5: Victory and Occupation, 1968, gilt lettering at top of spine has partly worn away, and dark blue background is chipped down middle. The last volume, The Marine Corps Reserve, was published in 1966 by G-3 Division, with a bookplate from the previous owner on the title page. Edges of pages have stains, covers have some scuffing and spine is stained some. It is in G condition. 8vo, 3819 pages, 17.9 lb.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 3819 pages.
