Condition: Very Good. One cassette in original case, with original artwork. These songs tell the story of the New York City bakery workers who are working to build a new worker-owned-and-operated community bakery following Stroehmann Corp.'s closing of its Taystee Bakery in Queens. The closing left 500 mostly African-American and Latino workers on the street when Stroehmann shifted production to a virtually all-white, non-union plant in western Pennsylvania. Besides working to start their own bakery, the displaced New York workers are waging an aggressivee boycott of Stroehmann and Taystee bakery products. Book.
