Soft Cover. Condition: Very Good. Text/BRAND NEW. Blue softcover/NF w/trace wear. Title page removed (?) Frontispiece: Author photo portrait w/mended closed tear by spine. 33 collected papers by Polish-born, Brazilian physicist, Jorge André Swieca (1936 - 1980), whose chief interests lay in quantum field theory (QFT). The co-publisher of this English language work -- first volume in the intended series Projeto Galileo Galilei -- is the CNPq, Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Cientifico e Tecnológico [Brasilia]. Of the 33 papers (of which Swieca was lead author on, 9 are drawn from Nuclear Physics, Physical Review Letters, Annals of Physics, Physical Review D, and similar publications. Earlier papers deal with broken symmetries and broken-symmetry conditions, later ones with vacuum structures (in the Schwinger model, in guage theories, and as a consequence of quantization ambiguity), and other aspects of Euclidian and Abelian mathematical physics as applied to QFT. 472 pages. Softcover Monograph.
