Soft cover. Condition: Fine. Pablo Marcos, Barry Smith, Esteban Maroto, Al Williamson, Frank Brunner, John Romita (illustrator). Following the successful debut of Conan the Barbarian in its color comics line the year before, Marvel attempted to move to the less-restricted, non-Comic Code arena of the black and white magazine format in 1971. Rated ?M For The Mature Reader!? the stories presented here contained slightly more daring themes. The lead feature was a Conan story; ?The Frost Giant?s Daughter? adapted by Roy Thomas and illustrated by Barry Smith. Additional features included the first appearance of The Man-Thing and a more brutal, Ka-Zar. Poor distribution led to the title?s cancellation after one issue. The magazine was revived in 1973, this time with more success. In 1974, Ka-Zar became the lead feature with Conan headlining a new title, The Savage Sword of Conan. ?The Frost Giant?s Daughter? was colored to make some adult scenes appropriate for the color comic and saw print in Conan the Barbarian #16. Magazine is bagged & boarded and will be carefully / securely packaged then shipped via USPS Priority Mail to ensure that it arrives to you perfectly and quickly. Collectible Entertainment note: Magazine is in Fine condition. Nice! Please See Scans!! A must have for any serious Conan enthusiast and/or collector. A very fun & entertaining read. Highly Recommended.

Hard Cover. Condition: M - Mint. Superb copy complete in its original box. IDW 2014. 1st Edition. Book condition: M - Mint. Black & White (color scans) illustrations. In the mid-1960s, Jim Steranko burst into the Marvel Age of comics in a BIG way, and the innovative, cinematic techniques he introduced in his brief tenure at The House of Ideas stand to this day as a high-water mark in the history of graphic storytelling. More than any other series, Steranko is most associated with Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. This Artist's Edition collects the first 12 stories of Steranko's run, from Strange Tales #151 #162, as well as all his covers from these issues. Additionally, there will be a select number of extras presented. And, as usual, nearly all the pages have been scanned from the original art, from Steranko's private archives. An Artist's Edition first: Steranko has personally designed this book! With additional script by Stan Lee and Roy Thomas and additional layouts by Jack Kirby. AN ARTIST'S EDITION PRESENTS COMPLETE STORIES WITH EACH PAGE SCANNED FROM THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL ART. While appearing to be in black and white, each page was scanned in color to mimic as closely as possible the experience of viewing the actual original art for instance, corrections, blue pencils, paste-overs, all the little nuances that make original art unique. Each page is printed the same size as drawn, and the paper selected is as close as possible to the original art board. Superb copy complete in its original box. 184 pages. Size: 15" x 22" (380mm x 560mm). ISBN: 9781613779682. (6).
