Title pages printed in red and black. With hundreds of black and white illustrations, in-text and full-page. A few illustrations are laid-in in the Donatello volume (they appear to have been published this way); the Holbein volume has ten plates with text printed on their versos laid in (the illustrations were published this way). Most of the images are in black and white but there are a few in color. Botticelli, Holbein, and Dürer translated by Campbell Dodgson; Donatello translated by P.G. Konody; Rubens translated by Louise M. Richter. A few volumes of the Monographs on Artists series, edited and written in collaboration with other authors by H. Knackfuss. Minor rubbing to the extremities, two contemporary names on each free front endpaper, a few pages somewhat toned.
