Title label has gone but impression of the letters remains. Lightly worn to all edges. Marbled page edges and endpapers. Cracking to front guttering. A bit of foxing to prelims and finals but rarely in text and then light and along the fore edge sides only, the text being firmly bound, and for the far greater part, bright and neat. Heavy book which may require extra postage for destinations outside UK.

This is a copy of the 28th edition of The Fifteen Decisive Battles of the World: From Marathon to Waterloo by Sir Edward Creasy, M.A. The book, printed in 1877, is in very good condition. The hard cover is a leather and marbled board cover gilt on the spine that shows wear on the edges and corners, and has some damage to the leather in a few spots. The pages have marbled edges and have some minor browning on the edges. Overall, an excellent gift for the military historian.
