Cloth; verso of the front flyleaf discoloured; an excellent copy with the dustwrapper slightly flecked, creased and torn. Not stated as such, but this copy comes from the collection of contributor Leonard E. Boyle, OP, OC and bears his date of acquisition (16 April 1979) on the front free endpaper. Boyle was a scholar and palaeographer, and later Prefect of the Vatican Library (1984-1997). Loosely inserted is an ink manuscript note in his hand (with a later emendation in red ink), and a newspaper clipping which quotes him. The eighth volume in the Medieval and Renaissance Studies series.
