According to Denise Levertov's notes on rear cover. Rakosi was well-known in the Thirties, as a member of the Objectivist Group with Williams, Zukovsky, Reznikoff and Oppen. He stopped writing in the early Forties, only resuming in the early sixties. This is a nice clean copy of a first printing.
