Edwards and Preface by Ralph F. Kreiser. Black and white photo of Erma Peirson on rear panel of dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt letters on the spine. Just touches of wear to extremities, gilt somewhat dulled, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Dust jacket has a couple of chips missing and is ever so lightly soiled but not price-clipped. Erma Peirson retired in 1958 from the Public Works Department of the U.S. Naval Ordinance Test Station, China Lake, California, where shre also once served as the Editor of their newsletter, The Rocketeer. Peirson was also the author of the acclaimed KERN'S DESERT and was an authority on the Mojave Desert. This is a "must read" for those interested in the Mojave River.
