Fritz Pappenheim was a rising economist in Weimar Germany who became a political refugee with the emergence of the Nazi regime and eventually landed with an academic post in Alabama. However, Marxism was a less-than-optimal fit with 1950s Alabama academics and Pappenheim had become a freelance scholar in Cambridge, MA when he penned this volume. Inscribed by Pritz Pappenheim to a previous owner (a Harvard economist) on the front endpaper. 189 pages. Has foxing on the page edges, endpapers, and dust jacket.
