Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 8vo, 3/4 polished calf, spine in six panels is darkened, with top panel torn, red gilt morocco label, frontispiece, 372pp. Rev. Palmer is chiefly remembered today as a Congregational minister, of Albany NY, who authored, during his prime, numerous well received hymns, written for the church. The present copy is graced with a few extras, of unique character: 1). His signature on a slip of paper, written the day after his marriage on June 5, 1879; 2). An original CdV photographic image, showing him seated and holding a prominent top hat on one arm; 3). A curious small leaf of paper which shows tiny albumen photographs of both Ray Palmer and of his son, the two images said to have been taken around 1860, the the leaf removed from an album many, many decades ago. A good+ copy.
