Revue trimestrielle. (Jean-Yves Lacroix, Catalogue Revues, janvier 2019, p.4). Livres.

Three vintage black-and-white still photographs from the 1960 French film. An anarchic Louis Malle comedy, one of his finest films, where ten-year-old Zazie, from a provincial town, escapes the custody of her cross-dressing Uncle George and sets out to explore Paris on her own-all while her mother is off spending time with a lover. Story set and shot on location in Paris. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine, with very light toning. Criterion Collection 570.

Vintage borderless photograph of Sylvia Kristel from the 1975 film. With manuscript annotations in pencil on the verso. One of ten films made by the French novelist Robbe-Grillet, ostensibly about the target of a kidnapping plot hiding out at a high society brothel, but in reality an exercise in image making, fourth wall breaking, and the exploration of Robbe-Grillet's usual concerns of eroticism, voyeurism, and doppelgangers. One of his most commercially successful films, down mostly to the presence of "Emmanuelle" star Sylvia Kristel, far more prevalent in the marketing material than in the actual film. 7 x 5 inches. Near Fine.
