Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Nina Millen, Louise E. Jefferson (illustrator). 1st Edition. Little South Americans was written by Nina Millen and designed by Louise E. Jefferson. It is illustrated with black-and-white photographs . . . probably from the 1930's and 1940's. It was published by Friendship Press in 1942 and appears to be a First Edition though it is not specifically stated as such. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the ONLY edition published. The book is NOT ex-library copy and is in very good condition . . . though it is a trade paperback edition, of sorts, and does have a brittle spine. The book is 7 1/2" by 8 3/4" and has 56 pages with a "How to Sound the Names in This Book section and the older black-and-white photographs on nearly every other page. "The children of South America have pets and toys as we do. They play and help their parents and go to school and church school. In this book you will see pictures of children of South America.".
