Hardcover. Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Collectible-Good. First Edition. First edition. Text is unmarked; pages are bright, though the page edges are age toned and the top edge of the pages is lightly foxed. Binding is sturdy. The covers are foxed. Dust jacket is good only. There is one long tear all the way across the front of the dust jacket that has been tape repaired by a previous owner. There is another tear that runs most of the way up the crease between the front flap and the rest of the dust jacket (this tear has no tape). Dust jacket is lightly worn around the edges as well and there are a few small stains scattered across it. The lettering on the spine of the dust jacket is faded.

Very Good with light wear at spine ends; slight dust soiling and foxing to top edge. Marginal brackets and underlining in pen throughout. In a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with small edge tears, slight toning to spine and small stain to front cover. The first appearance in the English language of a modern classic of pedagogical theory.
