Macmillan and Co. London. 1907. New Edition. No DW. Illustrations by Thomson delicately tinted with colour. Original navy blue cloth decorated extensively in gilt. All edges gilt. Lean to spine, corners slightly worn and crumpled. Small neat gift inscription dated 1914. Endpapers browned. The first gathering of pages creased to top and bottom corners. A very lovely copy of this classic work illustrated in colour.

Brown boards, front decorated with painted Queen Anne's lace flowers against a bark background, clean, sharp and square. Book is firm in binding, 290 pages, b&w illustrations throughout. No mention of edition date, nor illustrator. A comparison of illustration of page 80 with other editions, determines it to be by Hugh Thomson. Previous owner's name on front endpaper. Else - Free of any markings, not ex-library. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall; 290 pages.
