First Edition. First Edition. One of 300 numbered copies signed by editor Toby Mott and including a 45 RPM single with a Kraftwerk interview titled "ZDF Heute" from April 26, 2009. A remarkable exhibition catalog, sold out on publication, published to commemorate the exhibit of 45 Kraftwerk singles from the Mott Collection held from September 13 to October 5. The book sports a minimalist design very much in keeping with the Kraftwerk ethic, and is illustrated in monograph style with color images of each single on the recto, and release information on the verso leaf opposite. With an introductory essay by Toby Mott. 7-inch single is in a matching red sleeve, laid in at the rear, and bears the limitation number for the book. From the original catalog description: The Vinyl Factory and The Mott Collection are pleased to announce a new exhibition and commemorative book: Kraftwerk. 45 RPM. The exhibit consists of 45 iconic 7" Kraftwerk single covers that showcase the band's remarkable aesthetic - an analogue past dreaming of today's digital present. Limited to just 300 copies worldwide, the book documents 45 Kraftwerk singles from The Mott Collection, and includes an essay by collector Toby Mott and an exclusive 7" single of a rare Kraftwerk interview. During the mid-'70s, Germany's Kraftwerk established the sonic blueprint followed by an extraordinary number of artists in the decades to come. From the British new romantic movement to hip-hop to techno, the group's self-described "robot pop" - hypnotically minimal, obliquely rhythmic music performed solely via electronic means - resonates in virtually every new development to impact the contemporary pop scene of the late-twentieth century, and as pioneers of the electronic music form, their enduring influence cannot be overstated. Always ahead of the curve, Kraftwerk acknowledged that urban life was alienating yet celebrated the joys of modern technology. Their wistful melodies of contemporary reality were ironic but also a prediction of times to come. Now, as we sit and play with our iPhones, sharing picture messages, we are living in Kraftwerk's 'Pocket Calculator'." Near Fine in silver perfect-bound wrappers, in a Near Fine red card jacket matching the wrapper design.

Wraps. Condition: Fine in Fine Housing. Limited Edition. Limited Edition. Wraps. Art Direction by Jamie Reid. Image and text by and about Margaret Thatcher, Honey Bane, Cosey Fanni Tutti, and Vi Subversa exploring and contextualizing their various efforts to disrupt the 1980s. "Violence Grows provides a forceful, wide-ranging look at four female icons of the 1980s. Its four-step journey focuses on three punk artists and one divisive politician, all of whom re-shaped ideas on identity, sexuality, and the role of women in a dysfunctional society. These four determined women set out to overturn the world they lived in. The confrontational content of Violence Grows examines a patriarchal elitist system and shows how culture can subvert it, using material from the archive of The Mott Collection." [artist statement]. Tight, bright, and unmarred. Assembalage of material housed in sticker embellished cardboard mailer, 4 image based zines, an A2 poster, a 'vintage sheet of Margaret Thatcher toilet paper', related ephemer. var pag. Illus. (color and b/w plates). Limited edition of 200. Signed by the author.

Softcover. Condition: Near Fine. First Edition. 40 items comprising flyers, artworks, photographs, press releases, posters and invitations. The cultural output of the Grey Organisation can be a baffling affair, transitioning from a post punk sensibility to late eighties post modernism, and incorporating traditional fine art practice, music, fashion, performance and commercial design. This collection of items represents a broad overview of the organisations activities, from the attack on Cork Street in 85 to late eighties New York work, and despite the diversity of activities exemplifies a unified sensibility. Highlights include the early Cork Street material, a confiscated one pound note from the 'Money' show and material from Civilian Warfare and A.R.E.A. in NY. A full inventory of items is available on request.
