Book First Edition
Hardcover (Laminated Boards). Condition: Very Good. Paul Doherty -Illustrator & Vic Duppa-Whyte  Paper Engineering (illustrator). First Edition. Introduction by authors. The text is illustrated by Paul Doherty, and the paper engineering for the pop-ups has been created by Vic Duppa-Whyte. Colour laminated boards with yellow, white and pink coloured titles to the front panel and yellow, white and blue coloured titles to the backstrip. The most predictable and famous comet in our part of the galaxy is one named after Edmond Halley in 1682  after realising it had been the same comet that had been seen in 1607 and 1531. The comet has been seen since at least 240 BCE, but certainly since 87 BCE. It's sightings are 76 years apart and the last sighting was in 1985 / 1986. To celebrate this event this pop up book was created. Minor rubbing of the book corners and of the panels. All of the pop-ups and paper engineered pop-ups appear to be in good order and functional. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. Not paginated, Item Type: Pop-Up. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Paul Doherty -Illustrator & Vic Duppa-Whyte  Paper Engineering.
