Amtliche Mitteilungen des Beauftragten fur den Vierjahresplan Ministerprasident Reichsmarschall Hermann Goering. Published by Franz Eher Nachf. GmbH., Berlin, 1942. The Four Year Plan was a series of economic reforms created by the Nazi Party. The main aim of the plan was to prepare Germany for self-sufficiency in four years. The plan also emphasized building up Germany?s military capability in direct violation of the Treaty of Versailles. Hermann Goering was put in charge of the Four Year Plan on 18 October 1936 and was given extraordinary powers by Hitler which effectively gave Goering control of the economy, public and private. Although the Four Year Plan technically expired in 1940, such was the power base established by Goering that the Four Year Plan was extended indefinitely. In fact, much of the Four Year Plan?s goals relating to economic production were accomplished between 1941-1944. Bound in period blue half cloth covers with gold lettering, size 27.5 x 37 cms.
