Gilt lettering to spine. Gilt stamped lettering and decoration over a navy-blue background to upper board. Colour frontispiece and colour title page. Profusely illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and with black and white reproductions of drawings and paintings. Head and foot of spine rubbed and frayed. Boards dulled, mottled soiled and rubbed. 3 cm and 9 cm closed tear to cloth covering spine along joint with upper board. Corners of fore edges of boards rubbed and bumped. Top and bottom edges of boards uneven. Front hinge cracked. Front free and rear endpapers creased. 12 cm by 6 cm area of loss to fore edge of second front free endpaper. Light tanning, light foxing and light soiling to first few and to last few pages. Overall, the book is in a fair condition. This is a heavy item weighing approximately 2.5 kg therefore its shipment overseas will incur an additional shipping charge.
