A fine copy, in little worn paper slipcase. Moodie was one of the best known of Canada's early pioneers, and wrote Roughing it in the bush, and Life in the clearings versus the bush. Atwood was fascinated by the thoughts and feelings that Moodie seemed to have left unsaid in her work.
