Hard Cover. Condition: Poor. No Jacket. 5th Impression. As indicated on the rear of the first title page, the book dates from World War II, it being produced on "War Economy Standard" paper. Light bluey-grey cloth hardback with very faded red title to spine; the fading extends to both front and rear covers; there are also gluey remains on the spine and its surrounds (it is possible to scratch off some of these remains); there are tiny blemishes; whilst the spine is intact and still in place, it has split from the rear cover and is also fraying at its base; both covers are bumped. 112pp. An attempt has been made with tape to repair the text block hinges, but both the tape or marks from it are evident between the front cover & first title page, the rear cover & rear ep and also between pages 110 & 111. There are several page blemishes along with browning. Some sort of biro inscription/abbreviation is in the top LH corner of the inside front cover. A satisfactory reading copy, but technically Poor.
