We have placed the dust jacket in a new clear (removable) Bro-dart sleeve. Jack Lindsay (1900 1990) was an Australian-born writer, who from lived primarily in the United Kingdom. Vellum covered boards, gilt titles and illustration, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. No 132 of 500 limited edition. Signed and inscribed by the illustrator - Lionel Ellis to W.H. Wood Sept 1929. Woodcut prints throughout with laid in tissue guards. With original woodcut, one of those which is printed in the book, laid in. Condition: Fair. Vellum stained and torn along edges, and bottom of spine. Inner hinges split, showing mesh and coming away from spine. Inscription by illustrator to limitation page. Browning to endpapers. Damp staining to top edge of pages in second half of book and to rear endpapers. Binding fragile. Small closed tear to top edge of laid in wood cut. Size: 9x7.5in / 22x19cm. 400pp. Weight: 1.3kg.
