This is a collection gathered from years of Levenson's carnival prowling, with the newbie Gray tagging along one year to chronicle the bizarre spectacle of a sideshow in Nashville. Gray, who was a one-of-a-kind performance artist as well as a writer, was severely injured in a car crash in Ireland in 2003 and never recovered, lapsing into depression and committing suicide about a year later.Dust jacket shows light wear, no tears.Pages clean and tight. Book is fine with no dampstaining. Beautifully printed portraits of carnival workers and carny life: "freaks," strippers, ride operators and roughnecks.

A fine example. The large silver print is housed in a separate hard-cover portfolio with printed cover matching the printing of the book. The photos from this book come from the stretch of time when Levenson was focused on the denizens of the carnival world. A scarce opportunity to own an original print by Levenson whose work sells for thousands.
