Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~A~ [3.0P] Genealogy of the Lee, France, Bebout, Howey, Shepherd, Allensworth, Beynon, Steeves, Crimm, Allen, Brown, Glenn, Wagner, Donnan, Attwell, Flemming, Burrier, Kohl, Rankin and related families. Looks at the ancestry of, and traces descendants of, Walter Scott Lee (b. 1888 in Lee Township, Carroll County, Ohio), who married Aimee Margaret Tremain (b. 1891) on March 13, 1920 in Jacksonville, Florida. Also examines the author's maternal ancestry in the France family. Reverend John France (b. 1774 in Buchlyvie, Stirlingshire, Scotland) was a minister in the Secession Church at Kirriemuir, Forforshire, Scotland from 1810 to 1816. About 1817 or 1818, he was appointed a missionary to the United States, arriving in New York in 1819. He and his wife Anna McClymonds (1800-1831) settled in Glade Run, Middlesex Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania where he served as minister of the United Presbyterian Church until 1848. Anna France died in 1831. He later married Isabelle (name unknown). In later years he lived with his son in Harlem Springs, Ohio where he died 22 September 1861. He was buried in Scrogsfield, Carroll County, Ohio. Descendants lived in Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Iowa, West Virginia, Missouri, New Jersey and elsewhere.
