Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+ dj. Reprint. [nice clean copy, no significant wear but typical browning to page edges due to cheap paper stock; jacket lightly worn, a couple of little nicks at several corners, one tiny closed tear and associated minor creasing at bottom of front panel]. Vintage romance novel about the "spoilt darling of New York society and niece of the wealthy Mrs. Towers, who found the earnest young architect who came to call on Terry Hefton, her aunt's secretary, more than 'interesting.' [She] was one of They Who Have, but that did not prevent her from setting out to steal Chet from Terry. If you judge wealth by dollars and cents only, Terry was poor, but when Rufus Fowler, polo player and society favorite, met her, he was to find a genuineness and sincerity which he had sought for in vain in his own set." How these "four very modern young people" work out their romantic issues is the basis of the novel, originally published by Doubleday, Doran & Co. in 1936.
