B&W photo, (5 x 8 inches), on stiff card. The other side is printed as a postcard, with a place for a 5c stamp. Titled "Judy Garland - 220." Postcard is unused, looks a little handled, rubbed along one edge of the photo. Judy is dressed as a drum majorette, with baton, short skirt, white boots and tall hat, saluting. There is a backdrop behind her, with a treble clef and staff and notes. The backdrop is open in the center as if she has just stepped through it. From the 1941 movie "Ziegfield Girl." Digital photos available.

Seller: Cat's Curiosities, Pahrump, NV, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. Title of this 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm, vinyl LP album is "Merry Christmas / Judy Garland / and the Mantovani Orchestra." So we have little choice but to list under that title. However, we've been unable to confirm Anglo-Italian conductor, composer and light-orchestra (dance band) entertainer Annunzio Mantovani (1905-1980) ever backed Judy Garland (nee Francis Gumm, 1922-1969) in the studio -- or that they ever so much as met, for that matter. Rather, it appears the producers simply didn't have rights to enough Judy Garland Christmas material to fill an entire LP, so they placed six live Garland performances from "The Judy Garland Christmas Show" -- taped Dec. 6, 1963 and aired on CBS Television Dec. 22, 1963 -- to one side of this disc (two takes or versions of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," two takes or versions of "Winter Wonderland," etc.), and then filled the verso with Signor Mantovani and his "cascading strings." Vinyl is near fine and possibly unplayed; cardboard jacket is as-new in original shrink-wrap, but this posthumous 1983 release (BOTH Miss Garland and Sr. Mantovani having legged it out of this vale of tears by that date, giving the production credit to "Phoenix Entertainment & Talent" an almost ghoulish ring) is a bit odd. Especially as Miss Garland was sometimes not at her best in her late television work. Still, for the Garland completist . . . Reduced from $35.
