Book
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Hello. Welcome to our small, family-owned bookstore. The cover has become detached and the front end-paper and title pages are missing; text begins with engraved portraits of the authors. Possibly the 1852 original edition (or 1862), as it lacks the "New" and the "American farmer's" of later editions. The two edges of the spine's juncture with front and back covers are both ragged, but the back is still securely attached. Back panel has three peeling strips. Crown and foot of the spine are also very worn. One page (xv/xvi) of the contents pages is free. This fellow has had a rough life and needs a place to rest. All else is firmly bound. The outer edge is marbled. A few pages near the end are darkened at the very edge (about 1/16" in). 1156 pages including index. Many illustrations. Packaged using bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box. Thanks for checking out this book from our small-town brick-and-mortar and supporting small business.
Condition: Fair. Acceptable condition. Reading copy only. Hinges cracked, a few pages detached. Slightly dampstained. Gifter's inscription on front pastedown. (live stock, farming, animals, reference) NOT AVAILABLE FOR SHIPMENT OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES.
