Dark blue cloth with gilt titles and motifs, with further green decorations. 301pp inc. index, with 93 tissue-guarded plates. Binding firm. Cloth has a few scuffs, but gilt is bright. Small splits to ends of spine. Inscription and minimal foxing to fep, else clean internally. Plates in good order - a VG copy. A heavy book which will require additional postage from overseas customers.

Violet cloth, decorated in gilt and olive, with gilt lettering, gilt top edge. xv,301 pp., illus. w/ 93 full page color + b&w plates, map at rear. Nicely preserved copy. Modest overall shelf wear, with sunned spine panel (to which purple cloth is especially susceptible), slightly rubbed extrems, bottom corners just slightly exposed. Endpapers, half-title, and final leaf (a portion of publisher's catalogue) are toned, with remainder of interior clean and bright. All plates fully intact, showing vibrant color. Lovely Nouveau-inspired bookplate from "The House in the Woods, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin" on front pastedown. Hinges are starting, though binding remains firm. Overall, very well preserved copy exhibiting only minor condition issues. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Book.

Internally fine; owner's bookplate to verso of flyleaf; eps lightly tanned; binding tight; no foxing; text crisp and clear; 21 lovely full colour plates each protected by tissue guards with titles and descriptions; SIGNED BY A & C BLACK as Number 148 of a de luxe LIMITED EDITION of 250 only; top edges gilt others untrimmed. A lovely copy.

Limited edition certificate on reverse of half title page, hand signed, in ink, by the publishers, A & C Black. 21 full page, tissue protected, illustrations, in colour, By John Fulleylove R.I. Text by Rosaline Masson. A lovely and scarce edition.
