Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm Long Play (mono) vinyl record album, Combo Records LP-100. These (tenor) saxophone-dominated instrumental tracks mark the point at which Boogie-Woogie was becoming rock 'n roll, or (in the case of a few slow selections) "The Stroll." We grade the vinyl "very good" based on appearance -- there are a few long, narrow scuffs. However, when we play the most affected tracks, with normal weight on our tone arm, this heavy vinyl record PLAYS like a very-good-plus (or better) disc, with no skipping and with only minimal noise. Original jacket is solid but unfortunately has a two-inch strip torn away down the middle of the verso, removing the middle section of Bob Stern's jacket notes and most of Mr. Houston's photo -- looks like some genius placed a piece of packing tape down center of verso and then tore it away. Still, a hard-to-find record from the (unofficial) birth year of rock 'n roll. Again, all tracks are instrumentals. Reduced from $195.

Spiral Bound. First Edition, First Printing. pp. 94. 8vo., measuring 23 cm. Plain card covers held with black plastic spiral binding. Comprises of a detailed schedule of events, list of delegates, text of speeches ("Indian-White Relations", "The Planning Process", "The Gospel in Prairieopolis", et al.), etc. Some loss to the plastic spiral binding, contents without blemish with bright, clean, and unmarked pages; near fine. See OCLC #221345796. Not found in UoM Archives & Special Collections. The basic idea of Prairieopolis Conference is to provide an opportunity for church people to view the Church and its mission against the social and economic reality of the region. The Church has not well understood this changing society. It may be that the Church's difficulty in relating to its changing setting arises, in part, because it operates within inherited structures which focus attention on problems of a previous age.
