Green buckram with heraldic device on front board of the city of Manchester's motto. Jerome Caminada (1844-1914) called Manchester's Sherlock Holmes. Angela Buckley a British historian claims that he was the model for Sherlock Holmes in the Conan Doyle novels. Caminada was a national figure when Holmes was being created.
