This is a facsimile reproduction of the 1734 edition, printed around 1860, with a double acrostic poem tipped-in to front free endpaper. John Mottley (1692 1750) was an English writer, known as a dramatist, biographer, and compiler of jokes. In a quarter long-grain morocco binding with marbled boards. Externally, rather rubbed with wear and bumping to extremities. Slight straining to front hinge. Internally, firmly bound. Generally bright and clean though with slight spotting to first and last pages. Some pages unevenly cut. Very Good. book.
