Hardcover. Condition: Good. Faded, soiled and worn black boards with gilt print on cover and along spine. Blind-stamped decoration to covers and spine. Extremities are rubbed, few small tears starting. Corners are bumped and rubbed, through the cloth at bottom. Gutters are split at rear endpapers and page prior to title, where there is a fold out map in great shape. Binding is otherwise solid throughout. Decorated endpapers. Interior is age-toned with some signs of foxing and the occasional spot of soiling, text and images remain clean and clear. Photographs by Prof. Robert E. M. Bain. Hard Cover. First Edition. Four volumes, generally very good+ with no dust jackets in the original binding. Black cloth boards with leather spines and corners, marbled page edges. Slight loss at spine ends and corners, spine is a little sunned (but gilt is still bright). Hinges are tight on all four volumes. Accompanying the text of the Bible are color photographs, b&w photographs and color maps of the present day areas where events in the Bible occurred. Over 2000 pages in all, Genesis to Revelation. A nice set that has hundreds of photos of turn of the century Middle East areas. Marbled page edges; no names or other markings anywhere in the books. A large four volume set will require additional shipping charges.
