Nebehay-W. 500, 8.Heft 4.- Der Maler Georg Pezolt (* 8. Mai 1810 in Salzburg; ? 28. Oktober 1878 ebenda) ist vor allem durch seine Druckgrafiken und Gemälde mit Ansichten aus Stadt und Land Salzburg bekannt. Für Friedrich Kardinal Schwarzenberg schuf er zwei Kapellen in der Residenz und am alten Borromäum, die zu den frühesten Beispielen historistischer Architektur in Österreich gehören. Seit etwa 1850 verlagerten sich seine Interessen. In zahlreichen Zeitungsartikeln nahm er Stellung zu aktuellen denkmalpflegerischen und städtebaulichen Fragen. 1865 wurde er der erste ehrenamtliche Denkmalpfleger der Stadt Salzburg.- SIEHE: "Ein Traum von einer Stadt.
