Condition: USED_FINE. Bleistift, mit Einfassungslinie, auf Velin, rechts unten signiert FL Huygens". 16,2:27,6 cm. - Knickfalte im linken oberen Bildfeld geglättet. Das sicher und lebendig ausgeführte Blatt zeigt eine typisch holländische Küstenlandschaft in Nahsicht bei niedrigem Horizont. Der Maler und Radierer Huygens war in Den Haag Schüler von C. van Cuylenburgh (1758-1827) und dem berühmten holländischen Künstler S.A. Krausz (1760-1825). 1836 wurde er Lehrer für Zeichnen an der Militärakademie Breda. Als Tier- und Landschaftsmaler nahm er vor allem Anregungen von P.G. van Os (1776-1839) auf.
