A nice copy in Very Good condition with light creasing to the wraps and minor edgewear; slight foxing to the top and fore-edge of the pages.

Ted Hughes & Fay Godwin's landscape poems and images, with an original photograph by Godwin. Fay Godwin (1931-2005) was one of the twentieth-century's greatest landscape photographers. She is also known for her literary and artistic portraits, including of Ted Hughes. Hughes was inspired by Godwin's photographs of the Calder Valley and wrote poems to complement the images. The book, published first by Ted and Olwyn Hughes' Rainbow Press and then in this edition by Faber, is a hymn to the lost industrial heritage and landscape of the Calder Valley, the area where Hughes was raised. Included is an original photograph print by Godwin depicting a coastal scene. The photo is inscribed on the rear by Godwin to Yvonne Skargon.
